Why have counselling?
People from all walks of life choose to have counselling. It is a safe, confidential space where you can talk to a qualified therapist without judgement. It is your time to explore what is going on for you and to gain insight into how you can make a positive change.
How much is counselling?
My fee for each 50 minute session is £45.
A free initial 30 minute consultation is offered to allow you to make an informed decision before committing to paid sessions. This can be done face to face or remotely.
How many sessions will I need?
Some clients attend for a short amount of time and others are much longer term, depending on the needs of the individual. It is recommended that clients commit to 6 sessions to allow time for the therapeutic relationship to grow, after which we can review. However, this is not obligatory and you are free to end sessions as you wish.
Do you offer counselling to under 18s?
Yes, I offer counselling to young people aged 12+. I hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate and professional insurance, which I keep at my practice should you wish to view them.
What can you help with?
Clients come to me for many different reasons, including anxiety, anger, trauma, bereavement, body image, sexuality/identity to name a few. A free consultation will allow you to get a sense of whether or not you would like to work with me.
My work is underpinned by the BACP Ethical Framework. Details can be found here:
